Volunteer Driver Service

Volunteer Driver Service is part of Citizens Advice West Northants and Cherwell.Volunteer drivers use their own cars to take people to appointments, when there is no reasonable alternative transport available.

Driver Service

We offer transport for:

  • Essential hospital appointments
  • Other medical appointments
  • Visits to see loved ones in hospitals, care homes and hospices
  • Supermarket trips
  • Social prescribing events
  • Classes that benefit health and wellbeing

Our drivers also deliver food parcels for Local Larder in Banbury, Bicester and surrounding villages and soup for the Winter Warmers project in Banbury.

The service also assists the Fire Service, District Council and County Council with electric blanket testing twice a year.
